This book, written in one day and published in six weeks, was inspired by a simple message on Facebook from a woman who noticed used wedding dresses in thrift shops. The message captured the attention and creative skills of 25 women who spontaneously gathered to write their stories about their dresses. The book's contributors include physicians, photographers, television producers, best-selling authors, filmmakers, professors, stay-at-home mothers. They are never-married women, happily married women, divorced women, gay women. What they say will touch, surprise, and inspire. The authors range in age from a teenager to several grandmothers. Some preserved their dresses in museum-quality, acid-free, pH neutral boxes. Others eagerly donated them to thrift shops. Each has a story to tell. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Dress for Success Boise Valley.
